Q: How difficult is the 40km ride?

We rate this tour as Challenging. It is not a technical race, but it is a long-distance ride (40km / 25 miles) in a tropical climate. A good level of general fitness and cycling experience is required. We take plenty of breaks, but please be ready for an active, full day of riding.

Q: Do I need to buy my Angkor Park ticket beforehand?

Yes. The $37 (1-day) Angkor Park Pass is not included. You must purchase this on the morning of the tour or the day before. Your guide will stop at the official ticket center (Apsara Enterprise) on the way to the park if you need to buy one.

Q: What if I get tired during the ride?

No problem! This is a fully supported tour. Our air-conditioned support vehicle is on call all day. If you get too hot or tired, you can hop in the van, cool down, and meet the group at the next temple.

Q: What if I really want to visit Angkor Wat?

We are flexible! If your group wishes to see Angkor Wat, we can include it. To do so, we would adjust the itinerary and skip one or two other temples (like Ta Keo). Please make this request when you are booking.

This is not a standard tour. We will take you deep into the jungle on single-track paths, ancient bunds, and hidden trails where no tuk-tuk can go. This is your chance to see the real Angkor, from the iconic smiling faces of Bayon to secret, jungle-swallowed ruins that most tourists will never find.

Stage 1 :

Hotel Pickup & The City of Gods (8:30 AM - 12:00 PM)

Your adventure begins with an 8:30 AM pickup from your hotel. We'll transfer you to our starting point at the park's edge to get you fitted with a high-quality mountain bike and helmet.

After a quick safety briefing, we ride! We'll bypass the main road and enter the park on scenic back trails, heading for the imposing South Gate of Angkor Thom. We'll explore the ancient city, including the mystical Bayon Temple with its 216 smiling stone faces.

EcoTrek Hidden Gem: Time permitting, your guide will lead you to the peaceful Preah Palilay Temple, a secret, tree-covered sanctuary most tours miss.

Stage 2: :

Jungle Trails & The "Ghost Temple" (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM)

After refueling with a delicious traditional Cambodian lunch at a local restaurant, we dive deeper. We’ll ride enchanting jungle paths to Preah Khan, a sprawling, labyrinth-like complex where giant trees and ancient stones are in a stunning dance.

Then, we head to our crown jewel: Ta Nei Temple. Known locally as the "Ghost Temple," this ruin is hidden deep in the jungle and missed by 99% of tourists. The silence, broken only by birdsong, is profound. This is where you’ll connect with the ancient soul of Angkor.

Stage 3: :

Mountain Views & The Finish Line (3:00 PM - 4:00 PM)

Our final challenge is Ta Keo, an impressive, unfinished mountain temple. You'll have a chance to climb its steep steps for breathtaking jungle views.

After, we'll enjoy a final, triumphant ride to our finish point, where our air-conditioned support vehicle will be waiting with cold towels and water for a comfortable ride back to your hotel, arriving around 4:00 PM.

Why doesn't this tour visit the main Angkor Wat temple?

To provide a true 40km off-road experience and explore these 5-6 hidden temples, we do not stop to tour the main Angkor Wat temple. It is the largest religious building in the world and requires 2-3 hours on its own, which would not leave time for our jungle expedition. We do, however, ride past its outer walls for a great photo!
